Marriage is not what is depicted in fiction, songs or movies. You don’t fall in love and live happily ever after without a lot of hard work and give-and-take. Once you “fall in love,” everything doesn’t just fall into place. It takes knowledge and a willingness to work to make a good, strong and secure marriage.

“One Flesh” has come from just that way of life. We entered into marriage with the idea of fireworks and everything going smoothly.

It didn’t take us long to discover that was not the way things worked! So we began to apply ourselves to wisdom and understanding. It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears, but in the end the rewards were wonderful.

Hopefully, you are either not married or just beginning your marriage, and you will be able to avoid some of the pitfalls. However, even if you have been married a very long time and feel there is no hope of redeeming your marriage, let me tell you it is never too late, and God will redeem the time!
